Dorothy Diane Lawson

Born on Boxing Day among the air raids in Liverpool in 1940, my Gran was orphaned and became a hairdresser. She met my Grandad at the age of 16. She later joined a charity for disabled people and built it from scratch. Then she became a magistrate. Nothing could stop her. Not even Crohn’s Disease, which took 30 years to diagnose. When I was diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease myself in 2020, my Gran was there, guiding me through it. She passed away on November 24th 2025. X
